There's an article about a report that's come out about expats. Seems nine out of ten expats would recommend a life abroad to their friends and three out of four say that their quality of life has improved, though it doesn't say whether this varies according to which country they moved to.

A depressing fact though is that only 1 in 5 bothers learning the local language or even trying the local food..!

I am guessing this is not so true for Eastern Europe and the Balkans - you have to be a bit more open to adventure and trying something new just to come here..! And if you visit the Balkans and don't try the local food, more fool you!
