...but the only "expats" living in Kosovo seem to be NGO and peace-keeping types, along with the occasional missionary. Tell me that I'm wrong and somebody actually chose to go and live in Kosovo as a matter of choice!
By the way, I am well aware that Kosovo is not technically a country still, I don't really want to get into that discussion - the fact is that living in Kosovo is to all intents and purposes like living in a separate country from Serbia, so the point is moot.
But Kosovo strikes me as the kind of place you don't exactly "move" to, you get sent there, and spend a lot of your time after that thinking about how to get sent somewhere else!
Tell me my small-minded views are ill-founded...! |

One british lady, with her own business working as a private gynecologist in Pristina. can't remember her name.
I hope she has a generator, power is off and on and water supply is very low compared to the last several years.
Every other International is either peacekeeper, NGO or foreign office.
Quite frankly all brits should move east. Tony Blair has ruined our beloved island, and UK cost of living is outrageous. I hear people are now pulling there own teeth out |

Crumbs! Someone, now working in Belgrade, told me that they had worked in a maternity hospital or some such in Kosovo and said it was an education you couldn't get anywhere else - Medieval wasn't in it...

The UK is indeed exorbitant - I couldn't move back there now if I wanted to! But then why would I, when I can live just fine in Serbia at a fraction of the cost?! I think I will be giving Kosovo a miss though... |
