The best source of advice I have found so far, for moving out and living in Kosovo, is the Bradt guide to Kosovo. It was written by two people who worked for the internationals here, and the guidebook is packed full with advice about setting up and so on - right down to a list of gyms in every single outpost! On top of that, it's got all sorts of suggestions for day trips from Pristina - it is pretty much designed for internationals posted to Kosovo.

Just £15, but I have ONLY found it in Pristina. It's not exactly a guidebook you can buy in Serbia!
