Just so you can get a tiny taste of what life in Montenegro is like:

It's back in 1996 and I'm in the port town of Bar (Bar, of the elsewhere-maligned bus station toilets) with some guests from England. Wondering what to have for dinner, we spot a restaurant bearing the word "Pizzeria" in the centre of town (in the ugly concrete shopping centre). "Pizza? Might as well..." (though there is much better fare to be had in Montenegro, I should point out). We go in and sit down and after the customary half-hour of the waiter ignoring us, he eventually graces us with his presence. "What varieties of pizza have you got?" we ask optimistically. "We don't do pizza," comes the stern reply.

I was reminded of this a number of years later by one of the aforementioned guests. He still breaks the ice at parties relating the time he was in Montenegro and went to a pizzeria that didn't serve pizza...
