Tradition, or popular belief has it that the Montenegrins are the tallest nation in Europe. You will certainly hear them say it on a frequent basis.
I thought I would quickly find out if this is true. Certainly you see a lot of very tall people around in Montenegro (and Serbia). But apparently, the average male height in Serbia and Montenegro (old data, maybe Serbia was bringing the average down?) was between 165 and 187cm. This is as opposed to the European average, which ranges between 168 to 191cm. In other words, Serbia and Montenegro have a 5cm lower average height than Europe! This is all according to an article from Blic
So is it actually true, or is it just a tall tale...? _________________ It's Gotta Be Red Buy red stuff, see red things and learn all about the wonderful colour red!
